From the Interview

“People told me that God would care for me and that helped me believe it.”

“Learning to reject false guilt was essential for my sanity”

“The unmitigated gloom of Psalm 88 meant that someone else had had these feelings too, so I was not alone and God recognised that people felt like that sometimes. That was wonderful—I used to the say the Psalm again and again.”

“I learned the precious lesson that God can use us in our weakness. When I was unwilling to eat because I didn’t want to stay alive, I made the decision to start eating again as a way of thanking God for the birth of a child to friends of mine who had been praying for one for a long time. This was good progress because it meant I was looking outside of myself for thanksgiving.”
